Liverpool secured another comfortable win against Manchester United thanks to a brace from Luis Diaz and a second-half goal from Mohamed Salah.
The Reds made it three wins from three in the Premier League with Arne Slot’s side yet to even concede a goal in the league this season, with Liverpool tied on points with Manchester City already for the campaign.
With Ryan Gravenberch compared to Patrick Vieira, it was quite the performance from Liverpool, who put their old English rivals in their place with an impressive display at Old Trafford that sent a defiant message to the rest of the Premier League.
And Roy Keane was impressed with one Liverpool player in particular.
Keane awed by ‘brilliant’ Mohamed Salah performance vs Manchester United
Speaking on Sky Sports after the game, the United legend shared his respect for Salah with the Egyptian international once again at his brilliant best for the Anfield side in the red half of Manchester.
With Jamie Carragher putting Salah in the same bracket of Liverpool legend as Kenny Dalglish, it was one of the winger’s best performances for the Reds, with the winger scoring one and assisting Diaz’s two goals.
And for Keane, the pundit was in awe with what he saw from Salah, with the former United captain showering the Liverpool superstar with praise after his incredible performance against the Red Devils.
Keane said when asked about Salah’s performance: “Talk about world-class performance, he was brilliant. He’s a threat, his little touches. When you’re watching him live you see the bigger picture. I really enjoy watching him. You’ve got to give credit where it’s due. He’s a world-class player.”
Salah is looking unstoppable for Liverpool this season
Three Premier League games, three goals, three assists. To say Salah has got off to the new season with a flourish would be something of an understatement.
The 32-year-old attacker is looking as good as he ever has for the Reds, with Salah showing the world that he’s still one of the best in football and is likely to push Liverpool towards yet another Premier League title challenge.
Indeed, Salah winning praise from a United legend like Keane is as clear a sign as any that the attacker is on a path to greatness with Liverpool, and the forward will want to add to his legacy this season with the Reds.
