As rumors about Roberto Firmino‘s future at Liverpool intensify, clubs in Saudi Arabia are apparently showing an interest in him.
Firmino is reportedly drawing interest from a few Saudi Arabian clubs, according to a Daily Mail story, who are looking to raise their football reputation in preparation for a bid to host the World Cup in 2030. Earlier this week, Al Nassr revealed their version of Cristiano Ronaldo.
The source also states that Firmino is still inclined to sign a new contract with Liverpool despite offers from Saudi Arabia. At the conclusion of the current campaign, the Brazilian’s contract at Anfield will expire.
Speaking last week, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp insisted that he wants Firmino to remain at Liverpool despite the signing of Cody Gakpo. The forward joined the Reds earlier this month from PSV Eindhoven.
“No. Not for me. We are in talks with Bobby. He knows my points, I definitely want him to stay,” Klopp said ahead of his side’s game against Leicester City,
“We have to ask Bobby about that (if Gakpo’s arrival may impact Firmino’s decision). But from my point of view, no.”
