For “disciplinary” reasons, Marcus Rashford will not play against Wolves for Manchester United.
The 25-year-old was removed from the starting XI due to internal disciplinary measures, according to Erik ten Hag, who also confirmed this in his pre-game interview. Alejandro Garnacho was promoted to the starting lineup in his place. The lone modification from Tuesday’s 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest by United is this one.
When asked why the England forward was missing from the start, Ten Hag told BT Sport: “Internal disciplinary. No [details]. Our rules. Now focus on the game. He is in very good form and no-one can play all the games.”
He added: “We have a good team and Alejandro comes in. He did really well in the last couple of games and made huge progress. I am expecting him to contribute and expecting him to bring his skills.”
