Liverpool are yet to make a signing this summer as the Reds look to adjust to the Arne Slot era.
Liverpool have a new manager and a new recruitment team in place, but, as of yet, they haven’t flexed their muscles in the transfer market.
However, that could soon be about to change.
Liverpool are very keen on signing Anthony Gordon this summer, and according to Dean Jones, speaking on the Ranks FC Ultras Podcast, the Reds genuinely do think they will be able to get this deal done.
Liverpool think they will sign Anthony Gordon
According to Jones, the links between the £40m man and Liverpool are legitimate and the Reds have a strong feeling that they will get this deal done.
“Look it’s legit, it’s legit. Liverpool have a pretty strong feeling that they’re going to sign Anthony Gordon in this window. The player was up for grabs a few weeks ago, and they’re not giving up on it because the player’s head was turned,” Jones said.
“Almost a month left of the transfer window, I don’t think that one is over yet, keep an eye on it.”
Anthony Gordon to Liverpool move is hotting up
Anthony Gordon to Liverpool is a rumour that won’t go away, and it looks like the Reds may well get their man.
Jones says that Liverpool believe they will get Gordon, while Fabrizio Romano has claimed that he wouldn’t be surprised if this deal got done.
“Let me say, I would not be surprised if Liverpool decide to buy him. I’m not saying it’s going to happen because Newcastle will make it difficult. But he remains one of the players who keeps being mentioned in internal talks with the club,” Romano said.
There are only a few weeks left of this transfer window, and it looks as though this deal could still get done before the deadline.
There’s no smoke without fire, and there have been tons of links with Gordon in recent weeks.
