Falk reveals LFC’s summer transfer budget with Reds ‘a little afraid’ of how potential Enzo Fernandez move may impact Jude Bellingham deal

According to Christian Falk, Liverpool has between £200 and £250 million to spend during the summer transfer window, giving the Reds a “strong opportunity” to capture Jude Bellingham.

Jurgen Klopp’s primary transfer target is the Borussia Dortmund midfielder, who will cost any suitor at least £100 million to acquire. However, it appears that the FA Cup champions have the resources to make the transfer happen.

However, the Liverpool team is “a little concerned” of what Chelsea could be willing to pay for Enzo Fernandez because that agreement might be used as a “benchmark” for any future deals involving the former Birmingham City player.

“I’ve heard that Jurgen Klopp really wants him, at least in Liverpool. He is what we refer to as a “mancatcher” because, while he is free to follow a specific individual, he also needs to pursue the club. There’s a good likelihood they’ll sign Bellingham, according to what I’ve heard about the club, which wants to spend between £200 and £250 million this summer, the BILD correspondent told Caught Offside.

“I’ve heard that Liverpool is closely monitoring what Chelsea and Enzo Fernández are doing. They are waiting to see whether someone will pay his €127 million release clause so that Bellingham may be measured against it. Because Bellingham is an English player and had a great World Cup, everyone will ask “okay, what is the price of Bellingham then?” if they see that Enzo Fernández is going to a club like Chelsea for this amount of money.

“It won’t be less, perhaps a little bit more because he’s English. They’re a little afraid of this potential deal and they’re keeping a close eye on whether it will affect Bellingham’s asking price. So, it’s good for Dortmund if this happens.

“A pre-agreement in January could happen, of course. Dortmund are willing to talk because they told Jude that they will. I’m not sure if Liverpool are in a position, at the moment, to make an offer because you don’t know what’s happening with the owners.

“I think they’re in front and they should bring this player to Liverpool.”

The Argentinian has been the subject of negotiations between Chelsea and Benfica for some time, but there are indications that the negotiations have come to an impasse.

It’s almost probable that Bellingham will depart the Bundesliga team at the conclusion of the season after performing admirably for the Three Lions at the World Cup.

According to current information from Fabrizio Romano, in addition to the Merseysiders, Manchester City and Real Madrid are also ‘in communication’ with the teen’s representation.

The father of the talented midfielder is rumored to be “extremely keen” for his son to choose Liverpool over any other team.

Jude Bellingham‘s future at Borussia Dortmund is not very hopeful, according to Falk.

There isn’t a provision in his current contract that would permit him to go in the summer, but they assured him that he could leave if a significant opportunity presented itself (after all, he has a career plan and joined the Bundesliga for that reason).

If he wants to talk, they must speak. I believe they will need to speak. A few weeks ago, I mentioned on Twitter that his father is quite excited about the possibility of his son attending Liverpool.

Many Kopites want Bellingham to join the team at Anfield.

He will be expensive, but he has the potential to anchor our midfield for at least the next ten years and is already proving to be a true leader.

It’s unclear if we will add a new midfielder this month, but the chance to sign Dortmund’s No. 22 in the summer is very intriguing.
