Liverpool have made the major move of getting Michael Edwards back to the club and he will be confirmed in post next week.
With Liverpool entering an era beyond Jurgen Klopp this summer, the Reds need to make sure the club is the best shape possible to move forward and it looks like FSG have got their men.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Liverpool have sealed deals not only for Michael Edwards to return, but for Bournemouth sporting director Richard Hughes to also join the club.
Taking to social media to confirm the deal, Jacobs says that the decision to bring Hughes in comes from Edwards and that the double deal is set to be confirmed next week by the club.
Appointments of Edwards and Hughes both expected to be confirmed next week.
Edwards role will extend beyond only #LFC.

Liverpool making major moves
Liverpool have become well known in recent years for having their house in order and it looks like FSG have moved quickly to get things sorted here.
For Liverpool fans, this will be so good to see. The club aren’t sitting back and simply allowing Klopp to leave without having building blocks in place. Getting Edwards back is a huge plus. And getting Hughes in on Edwards’ recommendation also feels a big move.
The Reds know that adjusting to life after Klopp is going to be tough. But getting Edwards back and someone he trusts to work under him is a big step in the right direction.
Now, Liverpool can focus on who the new manager is going to be. Indeed, having the pieces in place is beneficial to that too, given the coach will want to know about the structure he’s working within.
FSG have had their critics from some at Liverpool. But with this one, you have to say it looks like they’ve got it spot on.
Liverpool’s future, then, looks very bright indeed.
