According to Deloitte’s annual report, Liverpool’s finances have increased by an astounding 27% since the previous year.
Liverpool’s revenue has climbed by €97m compared to pre-pandemic levels in 2018/2019, according to the 2022 Deloitte Money League report.
For the first time ever, Liverpool’s revenue has surpassed that of Manchester United. The team ranked third in 2022 with a staggering €701.7M in revenue, moving up four spots from seventh the previous year. Liverpool made €550.4M in revenue in 2021.
In all of football, only two clubs made more money. Real Madrid (€713.8M) and Manchester City (€731M). Only five clubs, including Liverpool, recorded matchday earnings of above €100 million.

Among the dependable teams present in both this year’s Money League and last year’s, Liverpool experienced the greatest movement. The team, on the strength of a run to the UEFA Champions League Final in 2022, moved up four spots (from 7th to third) to claim its highest ranking in Money League history, passing Manchester United for the first time. The club reported over €100 million in matchday revenue for the first time, making it one of just five clubs to do so as large crowds of football fans returned to stadiums. With the development of the Anfield Road Stand scheduled to be finished before the 2023–2024 season, this is anticipated to rise even further in the upcoming years.
