‘There’s no issue’: Manager’s update on his £103m player will be music to Liverpool ears

The £103 million player won’t be moving in January, giving Liverpool another chance in the summer.

This Thursday, Roger Schmidt, the manager of Benfica, provided an update on Enzo Fernández. It’s a song that Liverpool fans should like.

Enzo Fernández has been the subject of a lot of turmoil recently. The midfielder had a remarkable World Cup, putting him in the public eye.

The 21-year-old immediately attracted further interest in the transfer market, and Chelsea’s interest in him increased. Things, however, took a dramatic turn last week when that move fell through.

Enzo allegedly requested the transfer and left Benfica. Roger Schmidt, the manager, publicly criticized the player and warned that there would be “consequences.” But he didn’t stop there.

Additionally, Schmidt criticized Chelsea’s tactics in seeking to sign Enzo. He described the chase as “disrespectful” and claimed they had attempted to disturb the player in order to compel a move.

We interpreted these as encouraging developments for Liverpool, who supposedly also want Enzo. And now Schmidt provides another update that largely confirms the good news.

Enzo Fernández update

At a press conference on Monday, Schmidt declared that “the Enzo matter is resolved. “There is no longer a problem.

He is a member of our team, in excellent physical shape, and working out effectively. He is a vital member of the team and is glad to be there. Therefore, I believe I have covered everything of it.

The implication is that Enzo will remain with Benfica. He appears content with the club, isn’t looking to make a move, and everything is going well.

Marca and O Jogo both claim Liverpool want him, too. Honestly, there have been reports of the Reds’ interest dating back months and there appears to be something in it.

Jude Bellingham is still seen to be the top target, therefore we believe a move for Enzo would only be made if that one fell through. Consequently, Liverpool would suffer a little setback if Enzo moved this month. Before they could actually take action, they would lose their alternative.

However, Liverpool’s summer becomes much simpler if the Argentine stays with Benfica. Red finds it delightful to learn that he has made himself at home at his club.
