Liverpool are preparing to take on Bournemouth this weekend off the back of their 7-0 mauling of Manchester United last weekend.

Paul Merson labels Mo Salah as 'ridiculous' and why he is better than Liverpool legend Luis Suarez

Jurgen Klopp’s side will head into the tie full of confidence. They know that a similar performance will see the Cherries unable to cope with them. Sala

Of course, Liverpool’s inconsistencies this season mean any result is possible. However, one consistent in this Liverpool side has been Mo Salah.

The Egyptian forward has been in superb form again this year. Salah has 22 goals in all competitions, with a further 11 assists.

And writing for Sportskeeda, Paul Merson believes Mo Salah has eclipsed the status of Luis Suarez at Liverpool.

“Salah might just be Liverpool’s best forward of the Premier League era. He plays on the right wing and has been scoring a ridiculous number of goals on a consistent basis and he’s done it longer than Luis Suarez,” Merson said.

Salah will be hoping to continue his fine form at Bournemouth. With Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez now alongside him, there are some positive signs for Liverpool right now.

TBR’s View: Mo Salah is a Liverpool legend, Paul Merson is correct

Taking away from the fact that Salah’s individual records with Liverpool are off the charts, he’s also backed it up by winning trophies.

Part of the squad that won the league and Champions League, Salah is truly up there with the greats of the game when it comes to Liverpool. And there are some big names in that conversation as well.

Merson is spot on too about the comparison with Suarez. Yes, the Uruguayan was outstanding in his own right. But Mo Salah’s consistency puts him above Suarez.

Liverpool will be hoping for another big performance from Salah this weekend. If they get it, then it should mean another three points.

Liverpool predicted team vs Bournemouth as Jürgen Klopp could save key star for Real Madrid

Liverpool’s confidence couldn’t be higher after their 7-0 demolition of eternal enemy Manchester United in the last Premier League fixture.

The Reds destroyed the Red Devils in the second half at Anfield, scoring a scarcely believable six goals after Cody Gakpo had set them on their way at the end of the first period. It has capped off an impressive run of form for Jürgen Klopp’s men and catapulted the side back towards the upper echelons of the table, reinvigorating its hope of making it into the Champions League for next season.

With the game against Bournemouth coming up before making the trip to the Santiago Bernabéu to face Real Madrid in the second leg of the Champions League, Klopp may want to make some changes for the trip to the south coast.

Some decisions will be enforced, with Klopp set to be without several first team players, as the likes of Naby Keïta, Thiago Alcântara, Joe Gomez and Calvin Ramsay are all still out. Luis Díaz is also not expected to be back yet, although a return is getting ever closer.

In defense, Alisson is likely to be supported by Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konaté, Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson.

In midfield, Klopp may also make no changes from the Manchester United game. The only exception could be Stefan Bajčetić, who could come in for Fabinho in order to preserve the Brazilian for Real Madrid. Jordan Henderson and Harvey Elliott are likely to retain their places.

In attack, Klopp is again likely to go with the trio of Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo and Darwin Núñez, with the three scoring six of Liverpool’s seven goals against Manchester United. The only question is whether Roberto Firmino or Diogo Jota could be handed a start in order to rest one of that lethal trio for Real Madrid.

Predicted Liverpool team: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, Konaté, Robertson; Bajčetić, Elliott, Henderson; Núñez, Gakpo, Salah.
