Many expect that Liverpool are set to endure a long summer of transfer business and one man that could be sold in order to finance possible incoming deals, looks to have been shown the door by Jurgen Klopp.

24-year-old told he’s not part of Klopp’s long-term plans at Anfield; free to leave this summer – report

As reported by Football Insider: ‘The Reds are willing to listen to offers for the 24-year-old shot-stopper this summer, with Jurgen Klopp no longer considering him as part of his long-term plans at Anfield’.

Caoimhin Kelleher has never managed to force his way past Alisson Becker and into our starting line-up, something that nobody would expect the youngster to do either.

His performances in the domestic cups last season showed everyone that we have a very talented stopper on our books but he simply isn’t given enough time on the pitch that his talent and performances warrant.

Our No.1 is one of the greatest in world football and so there wouldn’t be anyone who could take his spot in our goal – something the young Irishman will be very aware of.

As we look to raise funds for the possible signing of Jude Bellingham and other midfielders this summer, then perhaps allowing our No.62 the chance to go and start his own senior career would be the best move for all parties.

We would expect a decent fee for his services and also be in the knowledge that the ‘keeper could go on to prove that he was the right man for our goal but just simply at the wrong time.

Alisson Becker blasts Liverpool teammates in damning interview after Champions League exit

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker did not pull any punches during his post-match interview on the back of their Champions League exit.

On Wednesday night, Liverpool knew they needed a miraculous performance if they were to overturn the 5-2 defeat they suffered at Anfield in the first leg.

However, Jurgen Klopp’s men were flat, slow and lethargic as Karim Benzema’s 78th-minute goal sealed a 1-0 win for Madrid, winning 6-2 overall on aggregate.

It was yet another bitter disappointment in what is fast turning into a season to forget for Liverpool.

After the match, Brazilian Alisson, who was Liverpool’s best player on the night, did not hold back in his interview.

He told TNT Sports: “I think that every moment of the season had its reason and today we can say that it was the attitude of the players on the field. Perhaps because of the first game, which was a very elastic score.

“Coming here, beating Real Madrid away from home, it’s hard to… speaking as a human being now, it’s hard for you to create that expectation of qualifying.

“Now, man, I’m wearing the Liverpool shirt, I’m going to play against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu. The least I have to do is give my best. So that’s my thought, I believe I did my best and I leave here with a clear head.

“And now speaking as a team, we have much more to do. And this season of ups and downs, every moment had its reason.”

Alisson continued: “We had injuries, I think we don’t like to talk about it in football. We’re not going to use it as an excuse, but the injuries certainly hurt us. Now we only have one player left out, so that’s no longer an excuse. It’s been like this for over a month now.

“We had a fantastic, incredible game against United. Soon after, an inexplicable game against Bournemouth. And against Real Madrid, it’s not that we played badly, but we didn’t play enough to tie the game. There was a lack of attitude, a lot was lacking on our part.”

Liverpool will now have a bit of time before three gruelling tests against Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal await them after the international break.
